Guidelines

What these guidelines are
These guidelines explain how we expect WHYUS? to be used and how to keep yourself safe while you trade. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and apply to everyone using the interface.
Use it lawfully
Only trade assets you are legally entitled to trade, from a wallet you control, in places where doing so is permitted. Do not use WHYUS? to launder money, evade taxes, move funds for sanctioned people or entities, or buy anything you are prohibited from owning.
Trade honestly
Do not use the interface to manipulate a market — for example wash trading, spoofing quotes, or placing orders you never intend to settle — to defraud anyone, or to misrepresent who you are or what you are selling.
Keep your wallet safe
Your keys, your coins. Write your seed phrase down offline and never type it into a website, a chat or a support form. Check the network and the contract or recipient your wallet shows before you sign. Start with a small amount when you use a token, chain or route for the first time.
Watch for scams
We never call, message or email you first to ask for a seed phrase, a private key, a payment or remote access to your device. Anyone who does is impersonating us. Treat urgent messages about “airdrop claims”, “verification” or “recovery services” as hostile until proven otherwise, and verify links before you click them.
Limit orders
A limit order rests in the public CoW Protocol orderbook and is filled by solvers at your price or better. Because it is public, anyone can see the pair, size and price. Quote what you actually mean: unusually aggressive prices may fill faster than you expect, and an order left open for weeks can be filled in conditions you did not anticipate. Cancel orders you no longer want from the order explorer.
Card purchases and sales
Card services are run by MoonPay, a regulated third party that performs identity checks and handles the money. Give them accurate information: false details can freeze a payment, and refunds and reversals are governed by their rules, not ours.
Report problems responsibly
If you spot a security issue, stop and tell us on X (@whyusdotfun) or Telegram (t.me/whyusdotfun) with the steps to reproduce it, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before saying anything publicly. Do not exploit the issue, access other people's data, or disrupt the service while testing.
Enforcement
Where the law or our providers require it, we may restrict access to some networks, assets, regions or features. Access to card services and limit orders can be limited by those providers independently of us.
